There are
lots of anomalous neutrino physics results out there. Some of this could simply be due to the profound difficultly of making observations because they are so hard to measure. But, a trend towards seeing fewer than theoretically expected neutrinos that seems to hold at moderate significance across lots of methodologically different experiments also raises hopes that maybe there really is some sort of sterile neutrino out there in addition to the plain vanilla electron, muon and tau neutrinos.
