From the cosmological point of view, we demonstrate that thermal dark matter is largely probed (and disfavoured) by constraints from current direct and indirect detection experiments.

The white space in the charts below is the remaining allowed parameter space for thermal dark matter when limits from cosmology and colliders are combined, together with projections for a future next generation LHC, in three different simplified thermal dark matter models: F3S_uR (real scalar dark matter with a fermionic mediator), S3M_uR (Majorana dark matter with a scalar mediator) and F3V_uR (real vector dark matter with a fermionic mediator).
